President, SLFP ministers to have decisive meeting tonight

President Maithripala Sirisena and ministers from the SLFP are due to have a decisive meeting tonight (08), starting at 7.00 pm.

The ministers will use the occasion to insist to the president that the cabinet reshuffle should take place immediately.

Also, strong action should be taken against fraud and corruption in the government, they will say.

At a meeting at the home of UPFA general secretary Mahinda Amaraweera on the night of May 06, Nimal Siripala de Silva, W.D.J. Seneviratne, Anura Priyadarshana Yapa, Dilan Perera, Chandima Weerakkody, Dayasiri Jayasekara and Lasantha Alagiyawanne reached these agreements.

Also, they will ask the president that Rajitha Senaratne, whom they accuse of lying, and insulting the SLFP ministers at the cabinet news briefing, be removed from the cabinet spokesman position.
